Juliet Robson has been working with installation, performance, sculpture, new technologies, film and video for the past 14 years to explore and deconstruct ideas of 'the norm'. Juliet is a highly respected disability consultant, was vice-chair of the acclaimed Drawbridge Group and has worked on numerous large UK lottery bids to build new arts venues. Juliet co-curated the Nottingham Vital season in 2000. She has been a board member and regular advisor for the Arts Council and is an assessor for the artsadmin artists' bursaries awards. Juliet was commissioned by Nottingham City Council, Bonnington Gallery, Nottingham, City Arts and YOTA to make a permanent sculpture (Curio) for The Arboretum Park in Nottingham city centre. Juliet collaborated with Aarron Williamson as a member of 15mm to make The Electricians which continues to show internationally. In 2004 she also completed a Masters in Fine Art at Reading University. In May 2005 she was invited to curate Lines of Enquiry for Nottdance and Dance 4, the East midlands regional dance agency of which she is a board member. Juliet is currently facilitating a project with the public arts and education department of The Serpentine Gallery, London linked to the showing of the second 15mm film: Miracles, which premiered at the Ikon Gallery, Birmingham as part of FIERCE. In 2005 Juliet chaired and presented Commonsense at The Tate Liverpool during the Liverpool Biennial and then at The Ikon Gallery in Birmingham, as part of an ongoing project to bring artists with disabilities and curators together.
