the research facility

The Research Facility drives all creative aspects of Pacitti Company's work. This ongoing process of investigation through research facilitates the development of a broad range of project initiatives, not all of which are immediately directed towards public outcomes. Technical sessions investigate and develop both lo-tech and new media applications. Conceptual & Theory sessions investigate a range of political territories from which to build ideas and images. Practical Making sessions facilitate the hands-on making and testing of images. All research activity outcomes are archived.

the think tank

The Think Tank focuses on artistic debate. Sessions are held on a twice-yearly basis and bring together a broad range of people willing to share their thoughts and responses to work generated by the Research Facility. Each session opens with a presentation by Research Facility members describing, and if appropriate demonstrating, processes and outcomes from recent research investigations. This work is then discussed as to how it might best serve projects and ultimately audiences. People attending Think Tank sessions participate on a voluntary basis and include artists, presenters, technicians, academics, friends and members of our audience.
