Blessed are they that mourn
for they shall be comforted.

Death Walks are a rolling series of ritual based walks in and around Suffolk, made by The Rough Band (Mark Offord and Robert Pacitti). Mourning Sickness is their second public event, a quieter boundary beating performance walk through Ipswich, marking a ‘turning around’ - of death to life, broken to fixed, and head to toe.

Date: 18 May
Time: 7pm
Meet: Old Post Office Steps, Ipswich Cornhill
Duration: 90 minutes

This event will be followed by a relaxed drink in a town centre inn for any participants that wish to hang out further.

About The Rough Band

The Rough Band is a collaboration between Robert Pacitti and Mark Offord. Describing project shapes that invite active participation, The Rough Band encourages new community rituals.

The first of these was The Pyre Parade, created in  Ipswich, as part of the SPILL Festival of Performance 2018.

They are currently working up a range of new project ideas, and details will be made available as and when we have something to share.
